Surrounded but Not Devoured
A Dream About Sovereignty, Discernment, and the Strength to Hold the Door Closed
In this dream, I was speaking with a political couple about scholarships and children going to college. I opened a bottle of nail polish and it dripped. The wife laughed and walked away. The husband stayed and listened seriously, as if what I was saying truly mattered. Later I saw the wife again and we continued talking about our children and their future.
The dream then shifted. I was near my home beside a tall field to my left. From that field, several wolves emerged. There were five or six and I felt surrounded. I immediately got into my truck and shut the door so they could not enter. I remember thinking that if I had to protect myself, I could drive forward and run them over, but I did not have to. I drove toward my house instead.
One wolf stood near my doorway. Other people were there. The wolf approached and smelled me. It was not vicious, only curious. It even looked slightly happy. It jumped up onto one woman just to look and smell her. I stood still and told her not to pet it, explaining that it only wanted to smell her. I instinctively knew not to touch it.
